Val and me walking along the prom in Weymouth 1968. We entered a beauty competition held on the pier which we happened upon and were astonished at the high heels and hairspray being used by the 'professionals'. I think Val came 2nd or 3rd (she was a real beauty) in spite of the lack of artifice! and I came nowhere (because of it probably!!! ) (Me on the right).
